Primary Classrooms
Ages 3 years - 6 years

"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.". Benjamin Franklin
The Multi-Age Montessori Primary Classroom

Learning takes place naturally in this child centered classroom.  The focus is on character development and community life, giving children opportunities to work together cooperatively in a non-competitive setting. Children appreciate the sense of belonging.

In a multi-age classroom, children become sensitive to each other’s needs, and help each other learn new skills. Younger children see possibilities for the future as they observe older children. Older children benefit by having opportunities to revisit activities and reinforce what they have already learned, while exploring new concepts at their own pace.

The Primary Classrooms are a three-year classroom - children are expected to stay for their kindergarten year.  Read more about the Kindergarten year here.
